PROFILE

Professor Augustine Ogogo is of the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Resources Management in University of Calabar. He holds BSc. degree in Forest Resources Management and MSc./Ph.D degree in Wildlife Management. He is recipient of prestigious scholarships, prizes, honours and distinctions. He is member of various learned societies, some of which includes Forestry Association of Nigeria, Ecological Society of Nigeria.

His leadership qualities has placed him in Governmental and University Administrative positions. Positions like Honourable Member, Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly, Acting Dean, University of Calabar Okuku Campus. At various times and seasons, he has consulted to Local and International organizations.

He has attended several conferences and presented many papers. One of which was a paper on Climate Change Awareness and Adaptation Measures in Cross River and Akwa Ibom States of Nigeria at Symposium on Climate Change Adaptation in Africa. International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, 14 and 15 May, 2018.

To his credit are many journal articles, and book chapters, many of which are open access the publications page. He is the author of two best selling books Wildlife Management in Nigeria, Objectives, Principles and Procedures and Captive Management and Palatability of the Grasscutter Reared in Captivity.
